ABOUT LINEUP
Built by someone who
couldn’t pick a movie.
Lineup started the way most of its users will find it: at 9:47 on a Friday, forty minutes into scrolling, with nothing playing. Thousands of new movies and shows come out every year and the tools built to help you choose have one job, which is to keep you inside their catalogue. None of them know what you actually like.
So we built the thing we wanted. You rate a handful of films. Lineup builds a read on your taste that keeps updating as you watch, and gives you three picks for tonight with a reason for each one. Not five hundred thumbnails. Not “people also watched.” When you’re choosing with other people, it finds the film the whole room will go for, and settles the argument before it starts.
The rules we hold ourselves to
- Your taste is the product.
- Every pick is built from what you rated, not from what a studio paid to promote.
- A reason, every time.
- If we can’t explain why a film is a match for you, we don’t show it.
- Three beats five hundred.
- Fewer, better picks. Choosing should take a minute, not an evening.
- People over algorithms.
- The best recommendation you ever got came from a person. Movie Night is built on that.
- Your data stays yours.
- Export it or delete it any time. We don’t sell it, and we never will.

Lineup is independent, with no studio or streaming service behind it. If something’s wrong, or you just want to argue about a movie, write to lineupsupport@lineupstream.com. A person reads every message.
